The 2022 Legislative Session in Maryland is in full swing!
Here are some highlights, as of late:
- HB84: A bill that prohibits students who engage in violent and threatening behavior from being removed from classrooms. See the floor debate here.
- HB194: Secret Sex Ed Curriculum - Democrats defeated an amendment to require all family life and human sexuality curriculum to be posted online. See the floor debate here.
- HB304: Legalizes Homeless Tent Cities in Any Public Space.
- HB832: Empowers government to enter the homes of homeschoolers to gather information.
- A Legislative Redistricting bill that blatantly violates Maryland's State Constitution passed along party lines. I filed as a Plaintiff to sue over this unconstitutional plan to further gerrymander our state. Now, the Maryland Court of Appeals has an important obligation to uphold our state's Constitution.
Rest assured, I will continue to fight against these dangerous & extremist agendas.
