In the 2011 final push of the Legislative Session, the folks who control Annapolis continued to attack the values of the working men & women of Maryland. Please take a look at the list of "priorities" set by the folks who control the General Assembly's Agenda:
Educational Priorities:
- Eliminate the Government High School Assessment - claiming that at $1.9 million dollars statewide, it costs too much
- Increase "Student Fees" at the University of Maryland system - triggered by $200 million dollars in additional debt
- Passing In-State Tuition for Illegal Aliens - spending tens of millions of taxpayer dollars
Job Creation Priorities:
- Tax Breaks for Maryland's largest Insurance Companies
- Tax Increases of 50% on Beer, Wine and Liquor
- Doubling the Titling Fee for vehicles from $50 to $100
- If you lose your job and can't pay your State taxes, then you're prohibited from registering a vehicle or obtaining a driver's license
Transportation Priorities:
- Increase Tolls statewide by a minimum of $70 million dollars (read article)
- Increase the Gas Tax during a likely Special Legislative Session scheduled for later this year (read article)
