This week, Governor Hogan rolled-out a new school safety tip line & mobile app, as part of his Safe Schools Maryland initiative.

"The tip line staff will share incoming information with appropriate school system officials and staff, as well as law enforcement personnel, and emergency & medical staff. Governor Hogan said that $3.6 million in federal school safety grants will supplement the $40 million in state funding for school safety in this year's budget."

Children, parents and teachers should not have to fear for their safety during school.

This initiative is a positive step in the right direction. I look forward to working with Governor Hogan to make schools even safer!
