The Maryland State Legislature reconvened for the 444th Legislative Session!
Here are some highlights, so far:
- A Legislative Redistricting bill that blatantly violates Maryland's State Constitution. Calvert County would be redistricted over the Patuxent River and into Prince George's County. Dividing a District by a natural barrier is prohibited by Maryland's Constitution, Article III, Section 4. The bill passed along party lines.
- HB181: Canceling God - A bill that seeks to remove all references to God from Maryland’s Constitution.
- HB258: The Right to Sit Act - A bill that intends to codify sitting down on the job.
- HB182: State Certification of LGBTQ Businesses - A bill that gives preferential treatment of State contracts based on your sexual orientation & identity.
It’s simple - Democrats gerrymander districts, which results in the election of dangerous & extremist legislators.
Put simply: Gerrymandering = Cheating.
