In Case You Missed It . . .
Earlier this week, my campaign announced the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) - in support of my candidacy for District 27C. NFIB is the largest association in the state of Maryland representing the interests of small businesses.
You and I both know that small businesses are the backbone of our nation's economy and in Maryland too. During my first term in the Maryland General Assembly, I have been an aggressive advocate for small business owners and the men and women who are employed by them. As a result, I am honored to have earned a 100% voting record with the NFIB.
I believe small businesses are the heart and soul of communities throughout the country, and that is especially true in Calvert County. You have my word that if given the privilege to serve again, I will:
- Continue to fight against additional tax & fee increases that hurt small businesses and their families;
- Stand against burdensome regulations that stifle growth and make it difficult for small businesses to be profitable;
- Aggressively support pro-growth policies that provide small businesses with the tools needed to create good paying jobs for Maryland workers.
It's simple - A healthy small business community will increase opportunity for everyone!
