Taxation Without Representation

Maryland's Legislative Session is in full swing. Here are some recent highlights:

First, two of my bills:

• HB730: Requires the legislature to vote every time there is a tax increase or decrease. Prohibits putting automatic tax increases into law, such as the gas tax.

• HB 986: Prohibits the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from purchasing farmland in Maryland.

Second, some of the Dumbest Bills in America:

• HB 17: Right to Sit Act: Intends to codify sitting down on the job.

• HB 283: Requires taxpayers to pay for children to receive surgery to change their gender. Remember, they're indoctrinating your kindergartener about gender identity.

• HB 830: If you renovate your home, requires you to install an electric vehicle charging station - even if you don't own an electric car.



Rest assured, I will fight to defeat these ridiculous policies.

This past Tuesday during our Floor Session, I had the privilege of honoring the Northern High School Marching Band!

The Marching Band recently won the 1AA National Championship and their third straight State Championship.
